Breaking Point
Today I came to have a conversation. A conversation with the person that’s at their breaking point. A person that is at their breaking point may be experiencing physical, emotional, mental, and even spiritual challenges. These challenges can be caused by financial stress, relationship stress, or the everyday setbacks of life. It’s called the breaking point because all of these challenges can make you feel like it’s the end, but I’m here to tell you that’s not true. When you feel like everything is about to crash down, you are at the threshold of success. The thing we need to understand is that the breaking point is where most people quit and miss their opportunity to reach success. That’s what we are here to talk about today. On the other side of the breaking point is breakthrough.
Overcoming Entrepreneurial Challenges: A Journey from Doubt to Success
I’m a person who has experienced the breaking point multiple times in my life, probably more times than ever in my time as an entrepreneur. I remember last year when I first started as an entrepreneur and things weren’t going like I planned. I was on the verge of quitting and even thought about going back to work. Deep down, I knew that getting a job somewhere would be the easiest thing I could do. I felt so tempted because I felt ashamed about my finances at the time, but I also felt like I would be even more ashamed to prove all the people right who didn’t believe I should have left my six figure job. I felt conflicted, but I decided to keep pushing forward and then it seemed like everything started to click for me right when I needed it to. The rest is history.
Embracing Challenges: Lessons from Breaking Points and The Upper Limit Problem
What I’ve learned from my experiences at a breaking point is that when you are about to level up to the next phase of your life, you are bound to go through a really tough time or face challenges that feel impossible to overcome. I read this book last year called The Big Leap written by Gay Hendricks. This book talked about this thing called “The Upper Limit Problem” which is essentially a tendency for there to be limits, barriers, and obstacles that arise when we are on the path of achieving more.
Perseverance Through Challenges: Embracing Uncertainty on the Path to Success
I share my experiences with you and the idea of the upper limit problem to hopefully encourage you to keep pursuing your goals despite what challenges and obstacles you may face. The success you are reaching for is often on the other side of the breaking point. In closing, I want to leave this quote with you. The most dangerous person in the world is the one who shows up every single day even when the rewards are uncertain. The one who can tolerate the most uncertainty is the one who will eventually win.
