Today I came to have a conversation. I’m not sure who I’m here to have a conversation with today,...
Protect The Brand
Today I came to make a statement. A statement about the importance of protecting your personal brand.
Understanding Personal Branding: Defining Your Unique Identity and Value
In order to understand the importance, you need to know what a personal brand is. According to Google, A Personal Brand is the strategic process of defining and expressing an individual’s value and unique identity. If I were to put that into my own words, I would say a personal brand is what you are known for. A personal brand is what people associate with your name when you’re not around, and a personal brand is what opens opportunities in business and life.
The Importance of Protecting Your Personal Brand: Build Trust and Strong Relationships
Now that you know what a personal brand is, you may be asking yourself, why is protecting my personal brand important? To put it shortly, having a strong personal brand is everything. It determines whether people can trust you. It determines if people will want to call you their friend. It determines whether people will want to show up at your funeral or not.
Protecting My Personal Brand: Legacy, Identity, and Entrepreneurial Responsibility
I am a person that invests a lot of energy into protecting my personal brand. It’s not that I care about how people perceive me, but I do care about my legacy. Each and every day when I get up, I get up with the intention of repping my name well. It’s one of the main reasons that I always address myself to others with both my first name and last name. Where I come from, it means something to be a Morris, but I also stand on making a name for Wisdom too. It’s got to the point that I don’t even like to leave the house if I am not repping one of my brands. One reason is that I believe in my brand. Second reason being is that I am an entrepreneur that relies on the income from my business, so while I am out in public I’ll never make a decision that could jeopardize what I have worked so hard to build.
Tips for Building a Strong Personal Brand: Authenticity, Self-Awareness, and Wise Associations
In closing, I want to leave a few tips with you for how to build a strong personal brand. The first is Authenticity. Stay true to you and stay true to your values and passions. People can tell when you are not being genuine. The next tip would be self awareness. Be conscious about how you treat others and how what you say may affect them. The last tip would be to choose your friends wisely. They say you are who you hang around. Don’t let one person negatively impact what you’ve taken so much time to build.
After reading this blog post, you should know what a personal brand is, the importance of protecting your personal brand, and a few tips on how to build one. Now it’s time for you to Protect The Brand.
